Grace Notes

The world premier of Strawberry Dwarfs and Other Lies and Hostage, two short plays by playwright Tom Minter of Amsterdam.

"The two pieces are linked in this way of madness -- how it's perceived -- how it's executed. It's the little obsessions that keep us sane -- even when we're not," says Minter.

Strawberry Dwarfs and Other Lies

Directed by Chance Michaels

A "Brit" piece in its humor and language. By its conclusion, it has the audience surreptitiously horrified for having laughed at the beginning. A dark piece about loneliness, grief and mastery. And it is about how the perceptions of observers can be manipulated. We assume too much, too often, too late.

Hostage

Directed by Kathleen Conklin

Three men in a tiny apartment one evening. One character is the creation of another - a coping mechanism against the horrors inflicted by the third.
