The Shadow Box
By Michael Cristofer
Directed by Eileen Horn and Dave Bristow
The Monroe Theatre Guild and Monroe Clinics Hospice Care announce an upcoming collaboration. For the first time ever these organizations will unite to produce a drama in two acts. The Shadow Box encompasses both meanings of the phrase: to spar with an imaginary opponent, and a framed compartment used to display precious memorabilia. Michael Cristofer's characters explore and sometimes fight with a loved one's terminal illness while simultaneously examining moments and experiences that are cherished in memory.
