Ragtime

By Stephen Flaherty & Lynn Ahrens

Directed by Pam Schroeder and Roger Cerutti

The Ragtime score is one of the most beautifully, artfully, and carefully constructed scores ever written for the stage, blending ragtime, early jazz, early gospel, Sousa marches, work songs, and other turn-of-the-century muscial forms. It is made of great music and great lyrics, but more than that, it is great theatre. Based on the novel by E.L. Doctrow, "Ragtime" is a story of racism, womens rights & immigration.

Produced by Lancer Cast and Company at La Follette H.S.

Performances: March 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 2005, at 7:30 PM
