Tintypes

By Mary Kyte with Mel Marvins and Gary Pearle

Directed by Rod Caspers, Musical Direction by Blake Walter

This summer's Hemsley theatre cabaret features Mary Kyte's Tintypes, a rousing musical that captures the hustle and bustle of life in turn-of-the-century America. The country's tumultuous history comes to life in a delightful collection of popular songs performed by period archetypes: a beautiful music hall star, a Chaplin-esque Russian immigrant, the outrageous Teddy Roosevelt, and others. Songs include: "You're a Grand Old Flag," "Ta-Ra-Ra Boom-De-Ay," and "What It Takes to Make Me Love You - You Got It!"
