The Sum of Us

By David Stevens

Directed by Micheal Herman

Being a young, single, gay man can be tough in your search for love, but it’s especially difficult when your overly supportive father keeps interfering….

Meet Jeff (played by Dave Durbin), a gay man in search of love and romance. Unfortunately, his father’s (Harry) good intentions often turn into disasters for Jeff’s potential relationships. Meanwhile, Harry (played by Douglas Holtz) is also trying to find romance after the passing of his wife. However, things prove to be challenging for a supportive father to a gay son. “The Sum of Us” is a story of family and love and what support and understanding really mean between a father and son. This production also features performances by Nathan Caracter as Greg, the somewhat hesitant love interest of Jeff; and Dina Zemliauskas as Joyce, the conservative love interest of Harry.
