Picnic

By William Inge.

This Pulitzer prize winning play takes place on Labor Day Weekend in the joint back yards of two middle aged widows, one whom has two teenage daughters. Along comes Hal Carter a young man whose presence upsets the female atmosphere and proves a temptation for the two daughters. The older girl, bored with her life as a beauty queen, sacrifices marriage for the excitement Hal promises. The younger sister, always in her sister's shadow, is flattered by the stranger's brief attention.

Produced by the Red Bud Players at the Fall River High School Auditorium.
