Kiss Me Kate
By Spewack/Porter
Directed by Eve Himmelheber
Kiss Me Kate is set against the backdrop of a present day theatrical troupe preparing for their presentation Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew in Baltimore, Maryland. Our main characters are the egotistical actor-producer Fred Graham and his temperamental co-star and ex-wife, Lili Vanessi. Reunion seems possible until a case of mistaken identity throws Fred into some very hot water. Featuring the brilliant songs of Cole Porter including Another Op'nin Another Show, I Hate Men and Wunderbar, Kiss Me Kate is a play-within-a-play full of hilarious, non-stop action.
