Killer Joe
By Tracy Letts
Directed by Mark Hisler
A trailer-park take on Double Indemnity, this plot brings out the worst in everyone. Chris Smith needs to kill his thieving mother to get her life insurance. He hires Killer Joe, a crooked cop, to get the job done, and pulls his loser father, sexpot stepmother and off-kilter sister into the scheme.
First-time playwright Tracy Letts swept the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and other venues, including off-Broadway, with his comic, violent mayhem.
This show contains nudity, sexual content, and violence, and is decidedly not for children.
