The Good Times Are Killing Me

Based on the book by Lynda Barry

This autobiographical comic drama tells the story of Edna Arkins and Bonna Willis, a poor white girl and a poor black girl, whose friendship is challenged by the rules of junior high school and, in a larger sense, by society. A pwerful play, set in the 1960s, full of gospel and pop music and situations that everyone in the family can recognize and talk about.
