Calls for Submissions

Call for submission: Forward Theater

On August 1st, 2020, Forward Theater will begin accepting submissions for our Within These Walls: Stories of Home Monologue Festival. We’re asking you, what is ‘home?’ For some it is a place, or people, or simply memories made over time. For some it is a city, or a state, or a nation. But ‘home’ defines us all in one way or another.

Many of us have spent a lot of time in our homes these past few months, but we encourage you to think past the purely topical. Let your imagination run free! Your script could take the form of comedy or tragedy, spoken word or poetry, mystery or farce, autobiography or pure fiction.

For more guidelines, deadlines, and details on how to submit, please visit forwardtheater.com/learn/submissions.  Happy Writing!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Please send a query letter and the first ten pages of your script. Electronic or paper submissions are accepted. Email Marcella Kearns or send hard copy to the following address: Marcella Kearns, Lead Educator/Literary Manager, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, 158 N. Broadway, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
