Twelve Angry Men

By Sherman L. Sergel

Directed by Allen Ebert

"La Crosse Community Theatre will bring to the stage the Sherman L. Sergel drama Twelve Angry Men beginning Thursday, February 12, and continuing through Sunday, March 1, 2015. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. and will be in the Veterans Studio Theatre of the Weber Center for the Performing Arts. The special Thursday opening night, Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon performances have been added to accommodate high demand.

Twelve Angry Men, based on the classic film of the same name, is the story of twelve angry strangers that are sequestered away on a hot, steamy afternoon to deliver a verdict in a trial that appears open and shut. But one juror fights to convince the others that the case may not be as black and white as it seems. The twelve confront one another and their own prejudices in a struggle to deliver justice in an often unjust system.

Former LCT artistic managing director Allen Ebert will be returning to direct this drama. Mr. Ebert is currently the art resource coordinator at University of Wisconsin Art Institute and was
LCT's artistic managing director from 2005 to 2008. While at LCT Mr. Ebert directed the hit musical The Sound of Music and took Women of Lockerbie to AACT nationals.
