"The Three Musketeers"

By Ken Ludwig, based on Alexandre Dumas novel

Directed by Doug Instenes

The story, set in 1625, begins with young d’Artagnan setting off for Paris in search of adventure. Playwright Ludwig has given d’Artagnan a traveling companion, his plucky sister Sabine, who is on her way to a convent school in Paris. For safety, she poses as a young man, and soon becomes entangled in her brother’s escapades. Shortly after reaching Paris, d’Artagnan joins forces with the greatest heroes of the day--the famous musketeers Athos, Porthos and Aramis--to defend the honor of the Queen of France. In doing so, he finds himself opposing the most dangerous man in Europe, Cardinal Richelieu. Even more deadly is the infamous “Milady,” who will stop at nothing for revenge.
