"The Sound of Music"

By Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lindsay & Russel Crouse

Directed by Doug Instenes

A high-spirited postulant, Maria is sent to fill in as governess for the 7 children of a widowed naval captain. She first wins over the children and then their father. After Maria and Capt. Von Trapp are wed, on the brink of WWII, the family flees to Austria to escape the Nazis. Every song is a winner in this final Rodgers & Hammerstein collaboration, one of the most popular musicals of all times.
