Shakespeare In the Park

To commemorate William Shakespeare’s death in 1616, we present Shakespeare In the Park: An Anniversary Celebration, a festival of readings and performances on the lawn at Eastmorland Community Center, 3565 Tulane Ave. in Madison on Saturday April 26 2025, beginning at 11:30 AM.

This anniversary celebration will include readings of Shakespeare plays:

11:30 AM – The Taming of the Shrew
2:00 PM – Richard the Third

Picnic bench and chair seating will be available, and attendees are also welcome to bring their own seating and blankets.

At Shakespeare In the Park, an open-air festival being held on the lawn at Eastmorland Community Center on April 26, 2025 beginning at 11:30 AM, Madison Shakespeare Company will present readings of two classics:

11:30 AM - The Taming of the Shrew
2:00 PM - Richard the Third

PLEASE NOTE: Because last-minute cancelations and no-shows hurt the cohesion and enjoyment of this special presentation, all signups will be contacted by April 17 to confirm participation. Only those who respond in a timely fashion will be assigned roles. Please make all reasonable efforts to participate after signup, and promptly write contact@madisonshakespeare.org if circumstances prevent your appearance.

After roles are assigned, you will be contacted with script download links and instructions for checking in at the event.
