Shakespeare In the Park 2024

To commemorate William Shakespeare’s death in 1616, Madison Shakespeare Company presents Shakespeare In the Park: An Anniversary Celebration, a festival of readings and performances at Madison’s Rennebohm Park Shelter

This anniversary celebration will include readings of Shakespeare plays:

11:30 AM – Two Gentlemen of Verona
2:00 PM – Henry the Fifth
4:30 PM – Titus Andronicus

Park shelter seating will be available, and attendees are also welcome to bring their own seating and blankets. Rennebohm Park is located near Hilldale on Madison’s west side, with an official street address of 115 N. Eau Claire Avenue. It is also bordered by Sheboygan Avenue, Segoe Road, and Regent Street.

This Madison Shakespeare Company event is free and open to the public.

Auditions

Sign up at madisonshakespeare.org/auditions to read in a Shakespeare play! No experience necessary. Signups will be accepted on a rolling basis through at least April 17.

At Shakespeare In the Park, an open-air festival being held at Madison's Rennebohm Park shelter on April 27, 2024 beginning at 11:30 AM, Madison Shakespeare Company will present three classics:

11:30 AM - Two Gentlemen of Verona
2:00 PM - Henry the Fifth
4:30 PM - Titus Andronicus

PLEASE NOTE: Because last-minute cancelations and no-shows hurt the cohesion and enjoyment of this special presentation, all signups will be contacted by April 18 to confirm participation. Only those who respond in a timely fashion will be assigned roles. Please make all reasonable efforts to participate after signup, and promptly write contact@madisonshakespeare.org if circumstances prevent your appearance.

After roles are assigned, you will be contacted with script download links and instructions for checking in at the event.
