Pounding Nails in the Floor with my Forehead

By Eric Bogosian

Directed by Tim Hamilton

Exploring a slew of social questions, MFA Acting candidate Whitney Derendinger presents this daring one-man show as he creates a bevy of characters. From the homeless panhandler to the eccentric millionaire, the political radio show host to the stand-up comic, this piece challenges the actor and the audience to really ask the question, "Where do I stand?"

Bogosian's work, critically acclaimed at its first performance in 1994, is shockingly accurate for our times and political atmosphere. Politics, race, social obligation and responsibility . . . the questions being wrestled with a decade ago still ring true today.
