Population 485

By Michael Perry

Directed by Jill Nadeau

Based on Michael Perry’s book “Population 485.” This is a true story about his return to his small Wisconsin hometown of New Auburn after 12 years away and his experience joining the volunteer fire and rescue department. The show is set against a backdrop of fires, car crashes, bar fights, and smelt feeds, and includes comic moments as well as heartbreaking and tragic ones. Perry also reflects on life and death, and how loss and death can sometimes feel meaningless.
