Micro: A reading of a new musical

By Adam Qutaishat and Heidi Joosten

Directed by Gina Gomez

A grad student unearths a shattering scientific discovery about microaggressions, but white privilege, discrimination, and Big Pharma threaten to crush her dreams. This funny, unique, and timely new musical explores a variety of issues in a thoughtful way, with a cast of five talented singers.

This reading is the first step for this show in the Wisconsin New Musicals Cycle. It will advance to a workshop in 2022 and a full production in 2023. Audiences can offer their thoughts in a talkback, or just sit back and enjoy hearing the creators talk about their journey.

All in-person attendees will need to show proof of vaccination or of a negative COVID test within the previous 48 hours. Masks will be required and distancing will be set by the venue. Drinks will be served; please keep masks on when not drinking.
