La Crosse Community Theatre offers the public a chance to pick one of its shows for next season. The Patrons' Pick Staged Reading will be held Friday, March 13, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. Audience members will choose between Boeing Boeing and Whose Wives Are They Anyway?, presented in an abridged format in which actors read from the scripts.

Admission to this annual event is free. Current LCT Patron Donors may vote for free. Ballots will be available to the public for $5. The winning show will be announced at LCT's Patron Gala on Saturday, April 11.

Boeing Boeing is by Marc Camoletti, translated by Beverly Cross, and revised by Francis Evans. Bernard is a swinging bachelor in 1960s Paris who is engaged to
three different women, all stewardesses for three different airlines. One night, his carefully scheduled routine flies out the window when all three women find themselves grounded in Paris at the same time. Bernard enlists the help of his housekeeper and a hapless friend to maintain the charade as he strives to keep all three fiancées happy . . . and in the dark.

Whose Wives Are They Anyway? is by Michael Parker. Two cosmetic company vice-presidents have planned a weekend getaway before the new CEO arrives. With their wives safely off on a shopping spree, the two men check into the Oakfield Golf and Country Club, intending to "golf their brains out." They unexpectedly encounter their new boss, who comments blithely that "no one who went golfing for a weekend without his wife would ever work for me." So David and John have to produce wives -- by any means possible.

April Brown and Ryan Puffer will co-produce and co-direct both readings. Readers will include Sara Adams, Amy Anderson, Mac Bruemmer, Stacy Bruemmer, Deb Jahnke, Kate Kersten, Sharon Markee, Barry McKnight, Matt Springer, and Lynn West. If you have any questions, please call the box office at 608-784-9292, ext. 2.
