The Last Five Years

By Jason Robert Brown

Directed by Andrew Abrams

There are two sides to every story. "The Last Five Years" chronicles the ups and downs of a five year relationship between an actress, Cathy, and a writer, Jamie. The 2002 Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Music and Outstanding Lyrics alternates heartfelt lyrics with humorous episodes in an exploration of human emotion and affairs of the heart. As part of FST's Spotlight Fund, a program which seeks to raise awareness and funds for other local nonprofit organizations, a portion of the ticket proceeds from opening night (Friday, October 13) will be donated to the Madison AIDS Network.
