Kids From Wisconsin 56th Season Auditions

A SUMMER with the Kids From Wisconsin is one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences an aspiring young performer can have. For over 5 decades, over 1000 KIDS alumni have gone on to successful careers in performance, music education and other fields of endeavor.

Known as the ONLY elite pre-professional performing tour experience and opportunity of its kind in the nation!

THE TROUPE is composed of 36 performers (22 dancer/vocalists with a 14-piece show band). Qualified candidates, between the ages of 15 and 20, regardless of race, color, or national origin are eligible to apply. Candidates will be required to demonstrate artistic talent, stage personality and dedication to their craft through a professional audition and interview process.

La Crosse - Feb 23rd
Eau Claire - Feb 24th
Madison - Feb 25th

Singer/Dancers:
One-hour time slot on your selected date
Prepare one song (3 minutes or less) of any style (pop, Broadway, vocal jazz, etc) that you feel showcases your range and performance style.
Sheet music must be provided for the accompanist
A dance call will follow and time to change into dance appropriate attire will be allotted.
Appropriate dance wear includes: dance shoes (character shoes, jazz shoes, cross trainers, tennis shoes with no tread) and clothing that does not hide dance lines and movement (i.e. nothing baggy, no chunky jewelry).

Band:
Please prepare two contrasting pieces (jazz, pop or classical)
Instrumentalist will be asked to sight read
Guitar and keyboard auditions should be prepared to demonstrate their chord knowledge.
All instrumentalists, including rhythm section players, will need to provide their own instruments for in-person auditions.
