I Do! I Do!

By Tom Jones & Harvey Schmidt

Directed by Kara Ernst

The show begins with Michael and Agnes on their wedding day and traces their life together over a period of 50 years, through the wedding night jitters, raising a family, negotiating mid-life crises, quarreling, separating and reconciling, until the day they leave their house to the next pair of newlyweds. The popular ballad “My Cup Runneth Over” came from this Broadway hit, which collected seven Tony nominations and originally starred Robert Preston and Mary Martin.
