Captain Louie is a family musical adapted from the children's book "The Trip" by Ezra Jack Keats. It is the story of a young boy from the inner city whose family moves to a new neighborhood, forcing him to leave his old friends behind. On Halloween night, he escapes into his imagination to cope with the loneliness he feels.

Produced by Sun Prairie Civic Theatre at Cardinal Heights Upper Middle School (The Old High School), 220 Kroncke Drive, Sun Prairie.

Auditions will be held on the following days:


AUDITIONS: Monday August 4, at the SPCT Rehearsal Barn, 500 S. Bird St. Sun Prairie. Sign up for an audition slot online under the Captain Louie Tab. Sign up times are: 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM 8:30 PM

CAST: 35 kids entering 3rd through 9th grades. 8-10 primary speaking roles.

AUDITIONS will consist of learning a song and some simple dance steps - as well as some readings from scripts. More information will be emailed to you upon audition sign up. Call backs will occur on Tuesday Aug 5.
