Bye Bye Birdie
Music by Charles Strouse, Lyrics by Lee Adams, and Book by Michael Stewart
Directed by Phil Martin
An affectionate satire of how American life is changed when Conrad Birdie, a rock and roll singer, heads to Sweet Apple, Ohio to deliver a farewell kiss to one of his biggest fans before he is drafted. Filled with classic Broadway songs like “Put On a Happy Face” and early rock and roll like “Lot of Livin’ to Do”, Bye Bye Birdie is total fun for the whole family.
