Bell, Book, and Candle

By John Van Druten

Directed by Michael J. Laskowski

Gillian Holroyd is a modern day witch who casts a spell on her handsome neighbor, Sheperd Henderson; partly to spite a rival and because she is attracted to him herself. The spell works and Sheperd falls head over heels in love with Gillian and wants to marry her. But Gillian learns from her aunt who is also a witch that witches cannot marry mortals. Gillian confesses to Sheperd what she has done and he storms out. Gillian fears she has lost him forever, but realizes at the conclusion there is no greater power than that of the human heart.
