August: Osage County

By Tracy Letts

Directed by Susan Rabideau

Each year one production is chosen to receive the Pulitzer Prize. August: Osage County by Tracy Letts received the 2008 as well as a Tony Award. UWFox Theatre brings to life this award winning play in a special reader’s theatre production on November 12.

An Oklahoma family is brought together because of the disappearance of Beverly, the father, and struggle with dysfunctional family drama. You will find yourself laughing along with the storm of repressed truths and unsettling secrets while clinging to the edge of your seat as you witness the dark side of the Midwestern American family. This play boldly addresses family and the inherent struggles that exist. It deals with relatable life issues and makes you think twice about modern relationships and the truth behind every smile and laugh.
There will be opportunity after the performance to meet the actors and learn about the Reader’s Theatre experience and ask questions about the production.
