Agatha Christie's A Murder is Announced

An announcement in the local paper states the time and place when a murder is to occur in Miss Blacklock's Victorian house. The victim is not one of the house's several occupants, but an unexpected and unknown visitor. What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death, a determined Inspector grimly following the twists and turns, and Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution at some risk to herself in a dramatic confrontation just before the final curtain.

Auditions will be held on the following days:

General Audition Times held in the Diane Ballweg Theatre (The Stream building on Edgewood College Campus).

Monday, November 28: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Tuesday, November 29: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

•Anyone auditioning should plan to perform a series of group warm ups, short improv scenarios based on the characters, and cold readings from the script.
•A copy of the script is available on reserve at the Edgewood Library.


Theatre Majors auditioning are REQUIRED to perform a two minute audition piece of two contrasting monologues.
Anyone else is WELCOME to audition with a two minute audition piece but not required.
Monologue auditions will be schedule just before or after the general audition times
