Millenium Theater was formed in 1991 by Patrick Fernan, Michael
Kramer, and Jay Rath. Millenium was the first company to produce
evenings of one-act plays for Madison audiences in the 90s, as one of
the first groups in the nation to present David Ives' Sure
Thing. The fifteen Millenium productions have run the gamut from
Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie to Sam Shepard's
Fool for Love. Millenium has also specialized in presenting
original works, producing four original plays by Fernan, one by Robin
Shearer, one by Rath, along with Rath's premiere of Orson Welles'
Bright Lucifer.
