The Music Man

By Meredith Willson

Directed by Mickey Reynolds

Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" takes place in River City, Iowa when a traveling salesman attempts to con the people into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he promises to organize. His real plan is to skip town with the cash until he falls for Marian the librarian, who helps to turn him into a respectable citizen.
