A Little Night Magic

Cycropia Aerial Dance returns to the Orton Park Festival to present "A Little Night Magic," a show of original works performed below the boughs of a majestic oak tree. Both performances are free and open to the public. Seating on the grass is first come, first served, so come early to stake out your spot! Cycropia brings their astonishing blend of suspended dance and acrobatics to the 37th annual Orton Park Festival for the seventh time. Amidst the hum of cicadas and festival-goers, the huge oak tree will be illuminated against the darkening summer sky and transformed into a stage for aerial dance. This year's show will as always feature whimsical and beautiful choreography, costumes and music, and dancing on an array of apparatus, including single point trapeze, a ladder trapeze, and a new apparatus "Piroetta," a fourteen foot long steel pipe supported in four places by steel ropes.

Produced by Cycropia Aerial Dance at Orton Park, 1100 Spaight Street, Madison 53703, just 2 blocks off Williamson Street on Madison's east side.
