A Christmas Twist

By Doug Armstrong, Keith Cooper and Maureen Morley

Directed by Christopher Braunschweig

Premiering in 1991 at the Victory Garden Studio Theater in Chicago, A Christmas Twist is a very funny satire of Dickensian excesses about Christmas and poor people and the rich people who don't care about them. It is bursting with cruel humor that makes a desperately needed mockery of Christmas sentimentality by mixing up the characters of A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist. This hilariously unlikely story is a welcome orgy of irreverence for anyone who finds Christmas a grueling experience. Suitable for all ages and faiths.
