The King and I

By Rodgers and Hammerstein

It is 1862 in Siam when an English widow, Anna Leonowens, is summoned to the Royal Palace in Bangkok by the King to serve as tutor to his many children and wives. The King is considered a barbarian in the West and he seeks Anna's help to change his image, if not his ways. Anna and the King grow to understand and, eventually, respect one another, in this truly unique love story.
