Wedding Belle Blues

By Bruce G Bradley

Directed by John A. Kremm

On their wedding day, Belle and Matt never anticipated that there could be so many hitches in getting hitched. The caterer delivers the ice sculpture a day early; the band gets booked a day late; the wedding planner has romantic entanglements of his own; the wedding party is stranded on a ferry in the middle of a lake; the preacher is from the wrong church; and a case of mistaken identity is jeopardizing the honeymoon. Somehow it all comes good, but not until Belle and Matt’s devotion to each other is tested to the limit.

Auditions

Auditions will be held on the following days:

4/26/2014
4/28/2014
5/3/2014
5/5/2014

RAVE Entertainment is looking for actors of all ages and descriptions for its summer production of “Wedding Belle Blues.” We pay a minimum of $50 per performance, plus a small stipend of earnest money.

We strive to provide our actors with a fun working environment that depends on mutual respect and a real dedication to ensemble playing; if you think of yourself as a “leading man/leading lady” you may not be for us. A singing voice is also beneficial, since we often have music in our performances.
We are also seeking directors and technical crew (sound/lights, stage mgr.) Please get in touch for further details of our requirements and payment for those positions.

Due to the extended run, we are also looking for understudies, who get paid $25 for each week of their availability during the run of the production.

Auditions will be held in Baraboo on Saturday, April 26th and Saturday, May 3rd from 2-4pm, and in Madison on Monday, April 28th and Monday, May 5th from 7-9pm. Please contact Bruce Bradley (Artistic Director) at (608) 712-8700 or email welshman (AT) charter.net for exact audition location or to set an appointment.

Rehearsals will begin in Madison on May 12th. Performances will be at the dinner theatre in the Farm Kitchen in Baraboo, so some rehearsals will also take place there.
