URINETOWN - THE MUSICAL

By Greg Kotis, with music by Mark Hollmann and lyrics by Mark Hollmann & Greg Kotis

Directed by Pam Kriger

The Madison premiere of Broadway sensation URINETOWN - THE MUSICAL closes out UT's 06-07 season. URINETOWN is set in a dystopic, drought-plagued future where city officials have come up with a unique way to conserve water: only public restrooms may be used - and people must pay for the privilege or be carted off to the ominous Urinetown!

This Tony Award-winning musical comedy pokes fun at every imaginable musical and theatrical convention with biting humor and memorable melodies that will keep you humming all the way home. Guest director and choreographer Pam Kriger joins UT from Cardinal Stritch University to helm this knee-squeezing comedy. Ms Kriger's direction and choreography has been seen at the Milwaukee and Madison Repertory Theatres, as well as the Skylight Opera Theatre and the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre.
