Shrek the Musical (TYA)

By Music by Jeanine Tesori Book & Lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire Based on the DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture

Directed by Roseann Sheridan

Based on the delightful Oscar-winning film, this musical comedy is ogre-sized fun for the whole family. An unlikely hero finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside his loyal friend, Donkey and the feisty Princess Fiona. Add to the crew a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude, over a dozen fairy tale misfits and you've got a cast of characters like no other. Hilarious and heartwarming with a great message: "Don't judge a book (or an ogre) by his cover." This is the Theater for Young Audiences (TYA) version, which is slightly shortened to be suitable to school groups and younger audiences.
