THE ROVER

By Aphra Behn

Directed by Tony Simotes

Director Tony Simotes will transport audiences back in time to the English Restoration with THE ROVER by Aphra Behn - the first woman in Britain to make her living as a playwright. Politics, sexual intrigue and disguise mix with percussive rhythms of Carnival in this tale of three sisters. The eldest is doomed to a forced marriage, the youngest to the nunnery. All three look to the masked Carnival as the last chance to escape their unwanted fates.
