The Man Who Came to Dinner

By Moss Hart & George S. Kaufman

Directed by Cat Gleason and D. Lance Marsh

Summerset Theatre is proud to present one of the most beloved American comedies. The Man who Came to Dinner is a razor-sharp farce that looks at the American pastime of celebrity obsession and asks; What if you had to love with one of them? Celebrated New York Theatre critic, Sheridan Whiteside, is forced to endure a six week recovery in the home of a well-to-do Midwestern family after injuring his hip in their icy doorstep. Hilarity ensues when Whiteside's illustrious city-slicker friends invade the quiet, though off-beat, Midwestern town. Written by the classic comedy team of Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, this fast-paced tour de force delivers side-splitting wit and sarcasm.
