It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play

By Joe Landry

Directed by Jim Stauffer

This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940’s live radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. Featuring live sound effects and music hearkening back to classic radio shows, this show will delight the eyes and ears just in time for the holidays. Wisconsin Public Radio will host a live simulcast broadcast of the show Saturday December 3rd.

The cast features UW students Stephen Deming, Rebecca Greenberg, Paul Urbanski, Andrea Watkins, Kyle Wessel, and Sam Wood portraying the residents of Bedford Falls.
