Our eighth year of adrenaline-packed art. 24 hours from page to stage - the best, and perhaps oldest annual play festival of its kind in the nation! More than 80 new plays so far, and counting.

The single most exciting 48 hours of theater is set to return this summer and we need you!!! This year Blitz is set for July 13th and 14th, so clear your schedules for those days! As per usual, actor sign-ups will happen earlier the same week, but we need to line up our writers, directors, designers and crew well in advance. So, if you have an itch to work your magic behind the scenes please submit your interest via e-mail to mercuryblitz@hotmail.com by April 1 for the following positions (each position will need to be filled for both days: Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th, so please indicate which day you are interested in).

-6 standard writing slots (solo or team)
-1 musical writing slot (solo or team)
-1 intermezzo writing slot (series of short, front-of-curtain plays - solo or team)

-8 directing slots (please indicate if you are interested in the musical or the intermezzo play)
-Musical Director/Singing Coach
-Choreographer
-Musicians (please indicate instruments you play)

-Scenic Designer
-Lighting Designer
-Sound Designer
-Costume Designer
-Props Designer

-Construction Crew
-Electrician
-Costume/Makeup Crew
-Props Crew
-Assistant Stage Manager
-Run Crew
-House Managers
-Ushers

If you are interested in a slightly longer time commitment, these positions are also available:

-Master Lighting Designer (week-of commitment)
-Stage Manager (periodic planning meetings)
-Assistant Producer -Promotional Team
-Program Designer

No audition is required. Sign-ups for actors will happen at the Bartell Theater, 113 E. Mifflin St, between 7 and 9 pm each day.
