Black Comedy

By Peter Schaffer

Directed by Ben Herman

The time: 9:30 on a Sunday night in the mid sixties.

Situation: A sculpter with a dubious romantic history, Brinsdley Miller, is holding a showing of his works for the world's richest man, Georg Bamberger, and his fiancee's father, a domineering army man names Colonel Melkett. Miller and Carol Melkett, his Fiancee, have borrowed his nieghbor's antiques for the weekend, without his knowledge, in order to impress both her father and the millionaire. Of course, just when things should be going perfectly, the fuse blows... Hilarity ensues as the neighbor returns home unexpectedly, the power man turns up, and Miller's last lover returns with a vengeance!
