Ballots

Book & Lyrics By Anthony Lamarr Music Arranged By Heidi Hackbarth

Directed by Anthony Lamarr

STAGED READING: Ballots This 80's Rock 'N Roll MUSICAL is a parody of the 2000 presidential elections. It revolves around many central themes of the elections, including the ballot confusion that happened in Florida. The scene is set in Florida, in a place called Everglades High. The characters are set to represent the prominent political figures from the election, such as George W. Bush Jr., Al Gore, and Ralph Nader. There are also many supporting characters that help to develop the storyline and bring out the high school atmosphere. It is a fun, fast paced, politically based parody that will keep the audience laughing and reminiscing about their own high school days. It will give actors, with 18 male roles and 7 female roles, a chance on stage, playing distinct stereotypical roles, but they will also be able to interpret the individual characters however they feel fit. This reading is free and open to the public. If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Anthony Lamarr at (608) 358-4155 or soundshaker21@hotmail.com.
