Aspects of Love

By Andrew Lloyd Webber

Directed by Andrew Abrams

Aspects of Love is part of the Unsung Musical Series which will feature musicals that would not otherwise be produced due to various production constraints such as a weak book, difficult set, budgetary issues, etc. These musicals will be done in a "concert version" setting with a full cast and orchestra. The goal is to feature the score and give the audience an opportunity to hear a show that they would otherwise not be able to in the Madison area.

Aspects of Love Synopsis:
Based on the novel by David Garnett, Aspects of Love is a complex love story that takes place over 15 years and is set in France. Rose Vibert,a prominent actress, is having an affair with Alex, a young 17 year-old soldier. While visiting Alex's uncle's villa in the mountains, Rose subsequently falls in love with Alex's uncle, George. George and Rose get married and have a daughter named Jenny. When Alex returns from the service 15 years later, Jenny falls him. Following George's death, Alex must decide whether to do the unspeakable and be with his cousin or go with George's friend Gulietta.
