A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

By Book by Burt Shevelove & Larry Gelbart, music by Stephen Sondheim

Directed by Norman McPhee, music director Judy Gasser, Choreographer Kate Zavada

Set in ancient Rome, "Forum" tells the bawdy story of Pseudolus, a slave whose dearest wish is to win his freedom. When he learns his young master has fallen for the girl next door, he strikes a deal: he'll be freed if he helps woo and win the maiden. There's just one hitch: she's already betrothed to a Roman captain.
