Stoughton Center for the Performing Arts



An Arts Education is part of what it means to be an "Education Person" a critical and analytical learner, a confident decision maker, a problem solver and an imaginative, creative thinker.

Classes Offered

Dance Department - Ballet, Pointe, Ballet/Pointe Technique, Jazz, Jazz Technique, Jazz Funk/Hip Hop, Tap, Tap Technique, Lyrical, Modern, and Pilates

Music Department - Piano, Voice, Guitar

Drama Department - Wild Imaginations (5-7 yrs), It’s Showtime (8-14 yrs), Out of the Wings (15-Adult), Private Audition Classes

Classes are offered for ages 3 through Adult in the Dance Department and ages 5 through Adult in the Music and Drama Departments. Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced level classes are offered in all departments. The nationally awarding winning Competitive Teams supports 50 dancers on 6 different teams. Placement is by audition only.

Young Adults Dance Class - starts 9/2/08

SCPA is introducing and intermediate to advanced dance class for young adults. The class is for dancers who have graduated from studios, teams and clubs looking or a challenging and fun class to keep dancing.

The class will cover contemporary jazz, hip hop and depending on interest ballet.

There is an opportunity to perform.

The class will be taught by professional dancer and choreographer Sara Willcutt

The cost is $48 a month, registration is open. Classes start Sept 2nd.

The class will be held on Monday nights from 8:15 to 9pm at the
Stoughton Center for the Performing Arts
