Milwaukee Youth Theatre's Mission is to provide positive learning experiences in theatre arts. Students ages 5-18 are involved in aspects of production by taking roles of actors, writers, stage managers, technicians and marketers. Each year MYT produces three productions, and holds three sessions of drama classes.

Itsy Bitsy Players

Ages: 5-8 years
Dates: Tuesdays, Oct. 11th- Nov. 29th (8weeks)
Time: 6:00-7:00 PM
Class Fee: $60.00

Young children will love the opportunity to express themselves in new ways through stories, movement, and theatrical games. Students will have the chance to develop proper vocal techniques, and build self esteem. Stage Struck Players

Ages: 9-16 years
Dates: Mondays, Oct. 10th-Nov. 28th (8 weeks)
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 PM

This is your chance to come and explore the world of theatre through fun improvisational games, vocal techniques, backstage activities and more. All classes encourage team work, build self-esteem, and expand knowledge of theatre. Audition Workshop

Spring Musical and p\Play auditions are just around the corner. Do you have an audition monologue or song selected? Do you know the difference between an upbeat and ballad song? How about where to find out about auditions? If you answered "No" to one or more of these questions then MYT's Audition Workshop is just for you. In just two short workshops you will receive copies of age appropriate monologues and music, learn audition jargon and tips on how to land the perfect role. Playwriting Workshop

Have you ever wanted to write your own play, but you're not sure where to start or how to finish? Milwaukee Youth Theatre's resident playwright, Emily Anton will help you come up with creative ideas, teach special techniques unique to writing for the stage and she will make creative writing fun for all! This is a perfect class if you are working on a submission for MYT's 2006 Playwriting contest, or if you need a little help getting started! Each student will receive a journal for writing .
