First Wing Family Theatre
"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3
After 15 wonderful years, we enter a new season, heading out on our own under a new name, "First Wing Family Theatre." We like the ring of "First Wing" and what it represents - that wonderfully tensely alive place just offstage where we wait for our cue, where we make our entrance, where we get ready to shine. And, for some young actors, our stage is the place to take off, for the first time testing their dramatic wings, learning to fly. We are thankful for all we have learned during the past 15 years, and now look forward to the joys and surprises that await us as we venture down this new bend in the road. Blessings abound.
First Wing Family Theatre began in 1997 as "3-D Family Theater", under the auspices of Dance Studio 3-D in Deerfield, WI. We are dedicated to providing quality musical theater experiences to all ages. Our stage is shared by both trained and novice actors and musicians, and we see each production as a vehicle for discovering and developing each actor’s God-given gifts. We present a youth musical in summer, and a Christmas production in December featuring a large adult and youth cast. We are committed to enriching the lives of both actors and audience alike by presenting wholesome, entertaining theater which challenges, inspires, and offers a message worth hearing and sharing.
